SPELLING RULES PRESENT SIMPLE
When we use the zero conditional, we also use the present simple.
If I'm hungry, I eat something.
If you're hungry, you eat something.
If he/she/ is hungry, she eats something.
If we are hungry, we eat something.
If you are hungry, you eat something.
If they are hungry, they eat something.
The verb in the third person singular adds an -s at the end, but sometimes the spelling changes a little bit more.
If the verb ends in -ss, -sh, -ch, -x, -o we add -es.
If the verb ends in a consonant + y we change the -y for an i and add -es.
If the verb a vowel + y we only add an -s.
These are the spelling rules:
If I'm hungry, I eat something.
If you're hungry, you eat something.
If he/she/ is hungry, she eats something.
If we are hungry, we eat something.
If you are hungry, you eat something.
If they are hungry, they eat something.
